The whole reason for this site is due to an Independent Study Project for an OAC Physics course. The ISP was to choose anything we wanted and relate it to physics. After a long deliberation, I chose kites, as it was something that interested me in that I-played-with-it-as-a-kid way. The information found on this site has been pulled from various sources. I thank them all.
This site is a fairly static site, but if you have something to add, corrections to point out, or just a comment, be my guest and mail me. If you have a question that needs to be answered, check out the FAQ, as the answer might be there.

October 10, 1997 - Replaced old counter
October 18, 1997 - Added Link Exchange banners
October 20, 1997 - Discovered that there is traffic on this site
October 21, 1997 - Figured that all the typos and coding should be corrected
December 7, 1997 - Woohoo!! 1000 hits since the Link Exchange banners went up.
January 22, 1998 - Woohoo!! 2000 hits since the Link Exchange banners went up. Hey! Traffic! Neato!
January 31, 1998 - Fixed some broken links and added that starting point thingy at the bottom of this page.
March 1, 1998 - More People... I get hit 3000!
March 22, 1998 - Whoa! Hit 4000!
March 26, 1998 - Gettin' faster now... Hit 5000.
March 27, 1998 - Put in the top menu in, Added the FAQ, Alphabetized the links.
April 28, 1998 - I won an award! ^__^ woo hoo! Thanks to Surfing the Net with Kids.
sometime in July 1998 - altered the graphics a little.
August 5, 1998 - Did some spring cleaning. Updated the How does a Kite Fly? page
Sept 27, 1998 - Changed the counter on this page to one provided by TheCounter.com. Got rid of the Link Exchange banners. Did you know that on Sept. 18 I got 705 hits to these pages? Un-be-liev-a-ble!
March 8, 1999 - Hey, it's been almost two years! I changed some code.
November 1, 1999 - My site was featured/listed in the book, Free Stuff for Crafty Kids on the Internet from CT Publishing.
January 25, 2000 - The site moves from http://www.interlog.com/~excells/kites/ to http://www.skratch-pad.com/kites
January 31, 2000 - This site is give an Internet Guide Award by Britannica!
